Maintenance

The main goal of tire protection is to save money and time:

• to save tire costs
• prevent any unexpected tire damage and expensive unexpected downtime reduce the number of tire changes and as a result reduce the hours the machine spends in the workshop
• reduce storage space, less tires on storage needed

Therefore, our chains are designed so that there is minimal maintenance.

You do not have to fix any link or ring breakages immediately as you can easily continue working with a few breakages in your chain. No need to stop the machine, let the machine run and earn money.

Breakages can be repaired within minutes at the end of the shift or periodically at planned maintenance checks or whenever you prefer.

We are overengineering our chains and that means you can continue working with a few breaks as the remaining chain parts can handle the forces.

Recommended Tensioning

Correct Chain Tension:

• you can still pull away the tire protection chain manually from the tire sidewall
• at the tire’s base, a small bag at the center of the base must be visible
• the bag’s size should be between 5% to 10% of the tire’s width
